A DAY ALONG THE OREGON COAST

With no kids, and nothing to do, we decided to go to the Coast again. This time we drove North along the coast into Depoe Bay and Lincoln City. Oh, and we got to see a whale! We couldn't take pictures of that though, because you had to look through a pair of binoculars to see them. It was pretty cool. In Depoe Bay they have a Whale watching observation station.

From the valley you can see the clouds sitting right over the mountains. It looks really cold, but the temp was about 70 degrees.

Standing on Lincoln City Beach. Again, not is cold as it looks. The wind is a little chilly blowing from the ocean. The water, however, IS FREEZING!!

I'm ashamed to post this one. You just can't take a good picture holding up a camera phone, standing on your tip toes, with the sun in your eyes.

A second attempt.....we give up....

It's hard to believe that people actually get out in this 20 degree water, but they do here!

It really is very beautiful and surreal..sometimes the photos just don't do the views justice.
