A Day at the Park

It was such a beautiful day (90+ degrees), we decided to go to the park. I got stuck behind the camera. P.S. Only 13 days before the wedding!!

Chris has a hard time holding back his excitement!

A DAY ALONG THE OREGON COAST

With no kids, and nothing to do, we decided to go to the Coast again. This time we drove North along the coast into Depoe Bay and Lincoln City. Oh, and we got to see a whale! We couldn't take pictures of that though, because you had to look through a pair of binoculars to see them. It was pretty cool. In Depoe Bay they have a Whale watching observation station.

From the valley you can see the clouds sitting right over the mountains. It looks really cold, but the temp was about 70 degrees.

Standing on Lincoln City Beach. Again, not is cold as it looks. The wind is a little chilly blowing from the ocean. The water, however, IS FREEZING!!

I'm ashamed to post this one. You just can't take a good picture holding up a camera phone, standing on your tip toes, with the sun in your eyes.

A second attempt.....we give up....

It's hard to believe that people actually get out in this 20 degree water, but they do here!

It really is very beautiful and surreal..sometimes the photos just don't do the views justice.

HOME SWEET HOME....

Well the kids could not wait for summertime so they could go back to Oklahoma and see their Dad, Granny, Grandad, Tyler, Papa, Grandma Sandy, Aunt Tracy, Cody, Bailey and all the friends they left behind...the excitement was in the air as we prepared to leave. I know in 24 hours I will be sad and lonely and wishing I could hear some arguing or someone yelling "Mom" every 2 minutes.

Someone got up early this morning..

While someone else procrastinated as usual...

At the airport, Myra is now rejuvinated, while Spence is contiplating the take-off..

Can he actually do this? (This is Spence's first experience on a plane)

Yep, he can do it! A terrible picture but we had a good chuckle right before boarding the plane because when I backed up to take the picture, I about mowed over a 90 year old lady standing behind me. The kids thought it was hysterical. I needless to say felt bad.

Well off they go.. I already can't wait until the end of August.

Another Rainy Day

Spence was stuck at work with me on his day out of school. As you can tell, he always finds something to do, and I am just never sure where I will find him.

MYRA'S SWEET 15

The party was a few weeks after her birthday, but they had fun nonetheless. We rented the pool area of the Phoenix Inn for a private party and about 6 girls stayed all night with Myra in a Deluxe Suite (we stayed next door).

Waiting for friends to arrive

Spence makes sign to direct partygoers

Fun in the pool

Guess who had more fun than anyone....
